In week 3 I opened Maya and started designing out some designs for Chains based on the drawings I completed in Week 2. Before I actually started the design I also looked up some Youtube tutorials of chains being designed in Maya. This gave me a starting point to actually start the design of the chains and carry on from there.
After watching and following the video I was able to design out the first prop idea for my Chains for the scene.

This is the simple Chainlink I made to try and get use to the tools and overall to see how it would turn out. My thoughts on this is that the chainlink itself is way to big to what we are thinking for the scene so I will need to take that into account in my next design and make them much smaller. I also could change the design slightly of the individual chain so it is more like the Roki style.
I am happy with how they turned out for my first attempt on a Maya project. I used some tools. For example the soften tool which helped to the actual look of the chain. I also got more use to the actual movement as you I made the design and now I know the controls on how to zoom in and out and move around to get to different viewpoints.
Next week I would work on another different design for the Chains.
